I'm delighted to announce that in September of 2022 I joined a studio collective of artists, designers and makers at The Arches, located in Peckham, South London. End of a Journey, Beginning of a New One

Picture
After arriving in London two years ago to start graduate school, I was awarded my degree, a Master of Fine Arts, with Distinction in 2021. It was an amazing, intensive, heartbreaking and enlightening journey which took place during the pandemic. I was privileged to have been a part of two wonderful cohorts and forged lifelong friendships. I could not have done it without the support of my family, American friends, new friends from all over the world, and tutors from London Metropolitan University. Thank you with all my heart, truly.

London bound!

Picture
Starting in September of 2019, I will be working on my MFA degree in painting at the Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design, at London Metropolitan University. I am thrilled and delighted to embark on this new adventure, and grateful for all the support and encouragement I received along the way. I am also very grateful to have received a generous scholarship award from the International Students House and London Metropolitan University.

Read about some of my experiences while I study and live in London through my blog, Yankee London Studio.

Essay published...

A short essay on grief, written while  on a research trip to Ostia Antica, Italy, was selected for inclusion in a book published by artist Karrie Ross who collects stories that "artists share, [that] will create a paradigm shift in those who read about them and learn about the variety of feelings, visionary insights, art process, mediums, personal histories and more that each artist brings to the world, one piece of art at a time."
You can buy the book here...
