Musings from a Yankee artist abroad in London...
Pottering Still
Seems to be a good time for an update some thirty months after writing the last entry for a required blog (yes, not only am I not a natural blogger but I'm surprised to be writing this update).
In the interim I have graduated from the MFA program, worked as a university technician, taught some, wrote up more applications for residencies and project calls than I care to count, and continued to travel deeper in my relationship with ceramics. I joined a collective studio in London with four reasonably well behaved kilns and eight wonderful artists while also trying to find an equilibrium in making both functional ware, sculptural ceramics and paintings. Still pottering and finding my center through the process: moving meditations and temporal gestures.
